It's been a lot of fun socially in Sydney. When I moved in, half of the apartment had international german students living in it. So, of course, we had a big Schnitzel party!! Left to right, Sven supervised while Frank and Lynn fried the schnitzel meat.
Very proud chefs demonstrate their successful meal!
Ryoko, a Japanese woman studying teaching here in Sydney, tried Schnitzel for the first time that night!
As my glasses broke on the flight to Sydney, I had to purchase new ones. Also I tried colouring my hair with Henna for the first time... not a drastic change, but one I am happy with.
Tosha, my friend Oxana's little boy, and Rene are taking turns drawing pictures.
He is very cute!
Oxana adopted a tiny kitten to help keep Tosha company and teach him to play with animals. The petrified kitten hid under the couch for most of the first week. Nowadays, they get along just fine.
Squash isn't a very popular game in Australia but we still found a great place to play. Outdoor games tend to be more popular here due to the fantastic year-round weather.
My friends Tandiss and Rene have just gotten engaged.
A house party was great fun...
...especially when I brought out the Port and Cigars!
Having fun with these groucho marx glasses I bought at a local museum.
Tandiss and I having a good laugh at Bare Island.
She's looking a little more mischevious in this shot. I wonder what trouble she's up to now?!
Rene making faces on the day we kidnapped Tandiss. We took her to the Australian Reptile Park.
The very happy couple all in red -- smiling and just a little bit sleepy from the previous night's party.
My latest favourite desert recipe -- Chocolate black pepper cookies. Surprisingly, they were delicious... and the pepper sneaks up on you in a very mild, warm and enjoyable aftertaste.
