Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario is the Canadian (or at least Ontarian!) center for the yearly beer-drinking, polka dancing and schnitzel-eating Octoberfest!! Hello to Larry and Nancy - they look great in their cartoony german costumes here.
Larry can't resist a smooch between pictures.
Dad, you've got it all backwards -- Geez, I can't take him anywhere!
Dad gets a special treat with an ice cream waffle sandwich... it was customized just for him!!
The oft confused brother of Octoberfest is DOGtoberfest... where even the dogs are getting into the festivities and the costumes.
I liked this hot dog outfit.
But it was this dog who was smokin' !
Dogs even had some games like this buried treasure for doggy biscuits.
Getting serious now... we head over to the beer hall, the epicenter of Octoberfest. It's great to learn polka, enjoy great food and music with my parents!!
...and Larry and Nancy from my dive club, the Great Lakes Sea Monkeys.
Dad's looking great sporting his very themed octoberfest lederhosen shirt and cow hat.
Prosit Guy here made an appearance near the end of the night and led a huge congo-line all over the dance floor.
After battling it out with hoards of other camera toting tourists, we are proud to get a shot with the Prosit Guy.
The Prosit Guy and me.
Mum looking beautiful with her feathered cap!
Lots of other people had crazy hats adorned with buttons from all the other Octoberfests they have been too! This guy has lots to smile about!
These decorative chaps created gorgeous ties out of beer cans -- they looked amazing!
After many a beer, the Waterloo Dark Beer Flag goes up and so continues our moods!
