Here is my house. Isn't it so cute!
It shares a wall with a neighbour and there is about one foot of space with the other neighbour but the walls are really well insulated.
My bedroom. Very cosy.
I even have a fake fireplace... supposedly it's a common sight here.
And I have my very own window with geckos frolicking outside by my bed.
Huge dressers are a regular thing in Sydney apartments... most apartments come with these built-ins since they are, as I said, built into the walls.
Lovely coloured stained glass door.
Bathroom - clean and simple. Feels very 70s retro with the beige colours everywhere.
The shower... a little low for me, but it works out in the end.
The lounge is lovely and cozy...
... and a has a beautiful view of our private courtyard.
My roomate Jungle Jane on her red - not pink - sofa bed.
Our kitchen... not much room for more than one or two in there at a time but it's open to the rest of the dining room and living room.
Fridge is a handy thing to have. ;c)
The street that I live on.
Some houses have gorgeous gardens and hedges of jasmine flowers which smell heavenly when blooming.
I like the variety of mailboxes I see in the neighbourhood. The cylinder below the box itself is for newspapers... I wonder if the delivery people actually take the time to place the newspapers in there?
This mailbox is a little more private and anonymous... and dare I say a little suspicious.
Late night markets and fruit/veggie shops meets my lifestyle wonderfully.
The Spot is one of many great cafes in the area.
Funnily enough, I found no pudding sold at the local pudding shop. Maybe Aussies define pudding differently than we Canadians do. I will have to investigate.
Gramatically, their French is horrendous !
These chairs sort of look like their are aliens pretending to be chairs. Very arsty, a little odd when you first notice them here.
