After a long day of skiing or boarding, the best thing to do is to ease those sore muscles in the jacuzzi located right on the balcony.
On the last day of snow sports, we all jumped in together for some photos,...
..., good fun, ...
... and a contest on who could guess how long it would take to melt a snowball in a jacuzzi. We wildly underestimated in all of our enthusiasm. It took 26 seconds.
Next yearly ritual - the Weather Pancake Toss - was given to Amy, Patrick's partner.
She made us proud...
... by getting it to the perfect spot for weather monitoring. Alas, a nearby squirrel felt that the weather pancake would look much better in his house, so our installment was a short lived one.
Xmas night... we got all sorts of fuzzy things. Marc got this "Frikin Cold" scarf... er... he's doing his best impression of being frickin cold here.
Socks as usual were a hot and popular item this year.
Marc's very avant guarde wrapping techniques made unwrapping a lot of fun.
We all received Pink Elephant Popcorn... and associated fuzzy panda stickers.
Huxley became very concerned when he heard the humming coming out of the trambone didgeridoo that I gave Marc for Christmas. He started barking furiously and was obviously very perturbed and confused.
Patrick and Amy almost testing out doggy biscuit present that Hux received from Mom and Dad.
And the stockings were hung up with care... including the snowboarding stockings which were all drenched from another great day of powder!
The main living room. This was a beautiful chalet.
Xmas dinner with, our favourite, Jewish Motzah ball soup... a little ironic for a xmas dinner, but we love it all the same.
Fun with bonnebell wax... this one is the loch ness monster... with a whale tale. Hmmm.
After we finished our trip at the chalet, we headed back to Patrick and Amy's new condo. We went for a walk in a nearby park and you could immediately see the stunning difference between the weather in the mountains and down here at sea level.
Family shot in the park next to a beautifully mossy tree.
Frost appeared on the tree bushes the morning we left.
And of course, my dad was very funny in creating a reconstruction of the "March of the Penguins" out of the coffee canisters at the IHOP Pancake House. This scene is the one where the mother tries to safely pass the egg to the father without it freezing.
