Chowder Bay is a great calm shore dive location in Sydney. It has lots of sea horses that can be seen regularly.
I thought this was rather a cute photo with this pin cushion hiding under this fallen leaf.
This is a numb ray, like a sting ray, but without a tail. Supposedly touching any part of its body can give you quite a painful electrical shock!
This ornate pencil urchin was probably the most colourful of its kind I have ever seen.
This was the first time I saw an eel (a true eel... not just a moray eel) underwater. It was hiding in the sand.
The species of this fish is called "Old Wives"
This hermit crab was busily searching for food.
This triggerfish was either pretending to be dead / camouflaged by lying on the sandy bottom, or eas actually not well at all. A very strange sight.
My favourite - puffer fish ! Also known as Globe fish out here.
They were undertaking some odd experiments there, hanging all sorts of bricks and materials under the dock.
I love the retro orange and white colours of this hard coral. It's groovy baby, yeah !
