Driving into Vienna from the Slovakia border, we were surprised to find these wind turbines everywhere!
Oh and if you're driving around on the highways in Austria you have to buy a highway pass.
In our search for parking downtown, we passed by some nice churches in Vienna.
The butterfly house that just closed before we got there. Looked nice from the outside.
Another interesting church -- I like the roof on this one. It displays a very Hungarian style rooftop.
This church lit up beautifully at night where they were playing opera movies and serving international foods at various kiosks.
This impressive monument is even more interesting if say you hit one of its panels. In fact, each of its panels are chimes and give off a unique musical note when tapped upon.

There are some very odd looking chairs around the museum. They look comfortable, but only for a little while. (maybe long enough to be taken a picture of).
At this arsty Das Moble cafe, you can buy any chair or lamp or wall hanging that strikes your fancy. It's a very cool place with strange sliding doors in the washroom.
I love the fact that you can bring dogs in the restaurants and cafes in Europe. I wish Canada was a little more like that!
Now here's a way to treat a dog. That cute pup in the back seat is wearing a pilot mask and cap, and looks very pleased about it. So did the owner when tons of camera-touting tourists (including yours truly) ran up to take his picture.

they have lawn chairs, tiki torches and you are drinking outside! Nothing better than all that in a town center as concrete as Vienna.
Parking passes in Vienna are convenient (you can use them almost anywhere) but seem a little complicated at first.
I love this no lounging sign that I found at a park in Vienna. Evidently they just don't want people to relax and have a good time.
Works better than a neon sign, having that life-like spider-man statue on the side of the comic book store. This marketer's impressed.
The newspaper used to be purchased from these bags on a trust basis, where people would take one and deposit cash in the little bank. Unfortunately, people kept taking them without paying and they had to cancel this service.
I love these double negative signs in Europe! Literally this sign says "No more no parking" in other words this is the end of the no parking zone.
