Winters can be cold in Canada (-40 degrees celcius in some places... or worse), but it can also show a beautiful side of Canada, as I've tried to capture in the few following pictures.
Evergreen trees are very popular in Canada -- they help keep some green around right through the year (even when they are covered in snow).
Springtime... full of tulips (one of the first flowers to bloom!)...
...and beautiful flower buds from all other plants.
Rural areas in Canada often have interesting mailboxes like this one very well designed as a freight truck.
Fall is my favourite season (in terms of aesthetic presence) in Canada... the coloured leaves just make everything so cheerful and bright. (Thanks Frank for the next three pictures!)
...and provides a totally new and different look to the same landscape.
This picture gives me an appreciate for the variety of colours that the leaves can change to. Sometimes even within the same tree!
Looks like nature's colouring book, doesn't it?!
This Japanese Maple tree just outside our house turns bright bright red.... and has a much more powerful and attractive presence in the fall than in the summer!
Of course, eventually the leaves fall, and just before the snowy Jan-Feb-Mar season, trees look very skeletal and erie.
