These colourful ones are semi-dangerous to humans.
A multitude of cocoons wait out their transition time in the background while the recenty hatched butterfly shows off its radiant colours (this butterfly comes from the first set of green caterpillar earlier shown).
Inside the Mariposarium lives only butterflies.
They are fed with flower nectar and sweet banana goo.

I loved this rare orange one. I had to race around the mariposarium about five times before I was able to take its picture.

The hummingbird farm (Lindo Mindo) has 24 varieties of hummingbird to visit -- and they all live outside of cages!
They were fed sweetened water in these red feeding units.
Some of them had really puffy legs.
This one in particular had a beautiful tail at least the length of its entire body.
