Ipoh is also a beautiful mountainous area. Bus ride was gorgeous! Would love to go back and spend more time exploring it!
Ipoh, Malaysia - Famous for their delicious chicken rice & ridiculously plump soybeans.
So plump!
Lou Wong is the best place in Ipoh and Malaysia for that matter to get Chicken Rice!
Ipoh Centre's foodie hotspot
I love the name of this place.
Drying restaurant utensils in the sunshine on tables just outside the restaurant.
Also had some very tasty Chinese pastries, savoury (saucy bbq pork) and sweet (kaya / coconut jam, egg tarts). And I found out - too late - that it is where the Asian-famous Old Town White Coffee is from. Oh well, next time!
Ok so I only chose four. And got an extra one for free. In order clockwise, egg tart, sweet yam pastry, savoury pork baked bun, kaya / coconut jam half moon.
All bought here!
Pork rib Mee goreng and triple colour coffee. Yum.
Malaysians will queue and wait for good food!
Rock sugar candy - Meh, basically just sugar.
Chips with peanuts and dried anchovies on them!
Dim Sum!!
Sponge cake for the long bus ride to Melaka. I think it was Gula Melaka (coconut sugar) flavoured. Tasty!
