Auckland's tower, where you can bungee jump of the top or wander along the outer rim outside! Ah New Zealand, not a moment is lost without an opportunity for an adrenaline rush.
Another shot of the tower.
You can see it stands high against the Auckland skyline.
Ponsonby is one of the groovy shopping, restaurant and cafe districts in Auckland.
Century old heritage buildings are located along the way.
Here is the view of the key shopping area in Auckland's CBD.
I liked this lampost with its interesting gargoyles.
This view was made to be a kodak moment. Very symmetrical.
This "White House" is a pub that pokes fun at the U.S. parliamentary building.
I had never seen a martial arts store. How fascinating ! There were nunchucks and other martial weapons adorned on the walls. I can't say anymore, otherwise they will have to kill me. ;c)
Loved this billboard. I found it pretty effective. It reminds the tourist of New Zealand's quirky and witty sense of humour.
This folded wide-cup-like cardboard is called a "Doofer". Provided by a burger chain called Burger Fuel, the doofer is used to hold the burger and prevent it from dripping all over you. It's exceptionally effective. Those kiwis are pretty creative !
These two gents were having a cruisy morning sitting outside their window. I wonder if their real estate agent told them this was the apmt's balcony.
A colourful autumn does not escape New Zealand, which was particularly cold (5 degrees celcius) when I was there in April.
Orange is also a popular "in" colour this season. ;c)
The fern is the symbol of New Zealand's national rugby union team, The All Blacks.
Love these crawling cacti trees. They remind me of caterpillars trying to crawl along the footpath.
More of these wonderful cacti trees looking fabulous behind a modern New Zealand post box.
Just outside of Auckland, rolling hills with cattle and (only!) some sheep surround you.
A tree-lined view of the rolling countryside.
