Kings Cross is Backpacker Central in Sydney... and this is the beautiful side of it. The rougher side, just around the corner tends to have lots of adult shows and bars.
A close-up of the gorgeous fountain.
One of the only gargoyles found in Sydney. I haven't really seen any at all... and I've been looking for them. I suppose that the christian religion never had a really large following here in Oceania.
Sushi Train... gotta love these sushi restaurants where selections of sushi dishes passes by you constantly for you to pick up at your will (and your wallet's mercy).
Other than the fact that this establishment is blatantly overadvertised, I would like to point out that Hungry Jacks is the local brand name for Burger King.
Most of the downtown residential buildings in Sydney look like these with balconies and closely snuggled houses.
Bondi beach is the beach mecca for Sydneysiders.
Though from this sign it doesn't seem like you can do much there, people somehow still seem to entertain themselves (or break the rules without being caught).
There is a skate park on one of the sides of the beach where mohawked skaters had fun ripping up the halfpipes.
Cool graffiti designs were painted along the walkway walls.
My friend Rene, who lives here in Sydney, took me too this wicked club one Friday night for the "purple sneakers" event. From remixed discos to funk to electro house, we loved every minute.
Rene and I at the purple sneakers event taking a moment between tunes for a quick self portrait.
The scene itself.
Another day, Rene and I went on a ferry ride at sunset to go to a friend's beach house barbie (barbecue, that is). Lovely views of the city on the Circular Quay to Manly Beach ferry ride.
Great views of the opera house too!
