More double takes on this one for me... this is a taxi, not a police car. At night, the two blinking lights on the top beside the taxi sign create further confusion.
Pies, pies, pies... this sign can be seen in the windows or in front of most convenience stores.
Pies and sausage rolls are even sold at Starbucks!
...and yes it's true... at McDonalds too!
Moving into a new apartment and need a bed? No problem... you can rent it for $10 per week, or lease to own for $14! Seriously, you can rent almost anything through these stores, even a plasma screen TV for that world cup soccer match with your buddies.
At a recruitment firm, I was blown away by these three beautiful murals in the waiting room.
...and around the corner on the outside of the building, I found this interesting graffiti of what looked like the 80s icon Max Headroom.
Some stores are really aggressive about their advertising.
Here's another example of a little overkill.
Not all parks in Sydney have green lawns... some have green artificial turf. It somehow doesn't feel like a natural park anymore without grass or sand.
And if the turf wasn't enough of a deterrent, here is the list of rules to follow. I guess I'll take my lemonade stand elsewhere.
Just like those stores with all the advertising, some houses just find that perhaps they are not getting enough visitors?
Australia is the land of easily accessible gourmet foods - like this Cointreau Liqueur, Blood Orange and Lime Yogurt I picked up at the supermarket.
Australian companies FREQUENTLY use cute pictures of puppies and kittens on their products and advertising. Well, I suppose this one convinced me to pick it up, so maybe they have something there. ;c)
Funky advertising on a van. This one too brings me back to before I was born too... just look at that mustache!
