A beautiful skyline city view of Sydney.
Typical european-style Sydney architecture.
And some of it, not so typical. Just like this interesting building which looks like its roof is flying off.
This skinny building reminds me of the flatiron building in Toronto and New York City.
Now this skyscrapper has a very interesting design too.
In Sydney's Chinatown people like to meet at the golden tree which is gold plated but looks very distorted as all of its branches have been truncated.
In NewTown, the funky shopping part of town, there are various interesting murals around.
Around the corner from my apartment lies this great cafe which has comfy couches and serves up a free wireless connection anytime and free live jazz on Sunday afternoons.
On the pavement surrounding this cafe, there are all sorts of funny quotes. "He'll be back! ... When?"
"It's true if it works, not because it will work but because it is true."
Starbucks is not a very big chain here in Australia at all... the two dominant coffee chains are Gloria Jean's Coffee (mostly for premium take-out lattes) and Vittoria Cafe (mostly for sit-down coffee).
Just a minute's walk from my house lies a huge shopping mall with this very decorative facade. These apartment buildings are part of the shopping centre.
This is a typical residential street setting in inner Sydney. Lots of gates, door/window rought iron bars and balconies.
Some of them are much larger, prettier and greener than others.
A park setting in Sydney - lots of palm trees and nice lawns.
In parks and on the streets Sydney is adorned with gum trees that are just massive and have beautiful and ornate trunks/roots.
