The Sydney Fish Market is awesome. Just 10 minutes away from my house and open every day from 7am until about 5 or 6pm.
These lobsters are often called yabbies here.
Hmmm, the crabs on the left don't look too blue to me. Hehe. And the sign on the right is even more confusing, is the crab blue OR green?
Fresh fish is always available here. It's great living in a coastal city, what a treat for a Canadian who has been landlocked for so many years.
Hmmm, strange to have a fish named after a hairdo.
Scallops... seems like there are also a few different types of these.
What a nice presentation, eh?
Of course, you've gotta have a sashimi stand at a fish market... tough to get fresher sashimi than this!
Oysters are a popular treat here too... they even have sake Oyster shots at some fancy tourist restaurants. Yum, line me up for one of those !
Once you get your meal, you can enjoy it in boat (if you have one), at a picnic table or ...
..you can sit on the dock enjoying your grub...
...while watching jellyfish swimming around in the water.
This is the Westfield Mall at Bondi Junction. Can you tell it's huge??
Centenial Park, located just around the corner from my old house in Chippendale.
Can't help but to take more pics of these magnificent fig trees with buttressed roots and all.
It reminds me so much of the Amazon, since we don't have trees with buttressed roots in Canada and they are everywhere here in Sydney.
These bright purple trees stand out marvellously on the streets of Sydney for a month or two every year. It almost makes me like mauve again... almost.
Lovely flowers in a nearby garden.
