My friend Malcolm from Western Australia took me to a reptile museum in Perth. I had the chance to enjoy the cold-blooded slithery skin of a snake on my warm-blooded for the third time in my life. Can you see how big my grin is here? :cD
The snake that was on me in the previous picture was a python, which is a non venomous snake but is a constrictor like the boa. This python's skin actually seemed really sticky and sweaty but it wasn't because it was sweating. Instead, the humidity in the air seemed to collect on the skin itself which made it feel like the snake was sweating. Strange.
This cute frog was sitting on top of a piece of wood and looked like it was meditating while just barely holding on in a very peaceful manner.
This other frog however looked miserable... I think that's just the way they look, poor buggers.
And, here's another angle of the sad Australian White's Tree Frog... maybe he's just had a bad day.
This is a domesticated falcon...
...so domesticated in fact, it likes being petted.
And also does glam shots for the camera.
This is a long neck turtle.
Not a long neck turtle, but a sea snake... they need to come up for air every few minutes.
These look like the Blue Tongued Lizards that appear on the beer bottle labels here in Sydney, though I didn't get close enough to see their tongues. :c)
These guys were busy crawling around an open leaf pit, so it was a great opportunity to take a lot of macro shots.
They were also pretty curious regarding my beeping camera. I liked this shot!
This photo feels very romantic to me.
And this guy had one arm missing... a sign of warning for me not to get too close.
There were some beautifully coloured birds as well there.
And snake catching lessons... these guys were dealing with a highly venomous snake... how's that for pressure!
This was a cool little lizard with a very jagged edged tail.
