Bundeena is located on the northern edge of the Royal National Park.
It's got a lot of nice, sandy and quiet beaches.
Seems to be popular for fishing too !
Some areas - outside of the beaches - are pretty rocky.
The patterns upon these sandstone rocks is so varied from one area of the beach to another.
This one is amazing !
And this one looks like a lava tube.
There are some unique looking seaweed plants about too.
But the highlight of my visit has got to be shucking oysters right off the beach. I never even dreamed I would be able to do this !
With the help of my trusty swiss army knife, a sea-side snack was just a few seconds away.
You had to get the oysters while there was still a crack open in them (only a few milimeters), so it's really hard to figure out where to stick the blade before it closes up on you.
This one was a beaut... they were pretty tiny, varying from 1cm to 3cm.
And we left the ones with the barnacles alone. :c)
The only treats these shells were holding for us was for our eyes.
Very pretty.
I don't think I've ever seen a boathouse with a garage for the boat itself and a ramp that leads into the beach.
