The hike from Manly to The Spit is a 9.2km hike through beachfront, bushes, and along the waterfront. It's lovely and starts at the Manly Ferry docks. (You can take a bus back from The Spit to Manly Ferries at the end of the walk.)
Starts with a beautiful waterfront walk.
...along interesting rock formation !
And another angle.
A bird showing mating call behaviour by extending his wings and holding them open.
Now here's a beautiful location for a sidewalk, or as they call it in Australia... a footpath.
I liked the windows and shape of this house.
Very picturesque marina... I couldn't resist !
It's odd to see that many of the beaches are fenced to prevent sharks from getting in.
Barbeque table provided by the beaches / parks.
Lovely sandstone rocks... this was actually part of the trail.
The rocks almost look like a moonscape.
Great views once you got to the top.
Aboriginal engravings in the rocks can be found in a couple locations along the trail.
Here is the actual engraving of a fish.
I love the way the two signs compliment each other. (Manly is the name of a city by the way)
A nice lighthouse along the way.
Great crooked tree!
