The Barcelona Aquarium is enthralling... with lots of tanks and a larger than life (human life any ways) aquarium with a glass tunnel going through it so you can experience it all!
The funny thing is the moving sidewalk... which moves soooo slowly. It's not even a long walk either. I don't get the point of it.
This octopus was flexing his tentacles for us -- very cool, check out the video below!
This octopus was on the wall ahead of us, like a suction cup!
Check out their suckers -- supposedly they are very strong!
This moray eel is a popular sight at the aquarium, but a lucky sight when scuba diving in the sea! They open and close their teeth-filled mouths to breathe, but to people who aren't aware of this characteristic, they can be quite scary!
Though not as scary as this shark, with all of its several rows of teeth. As we walked under the glass tunnel, these sharks glided smoothly above us eyeing us from below.
Luckily, there weren't any prehistoric sharks there. As outlined by the image above, the current largest shark in the world (not counting whale sharks) is the Great White Shark... which is the shark in the middle. The shark at the bottom were its ancestors. Yikes!!
This is a sunfish -- a very special and unique fish that looks like its back end was chomped off. Click on the video link on the left to see the cool way it swims.
A Leafy Seahorse... very strange.
Another type of Leafy Seahorse... a little harder to see.
Eric peeking out of a funny and glorified scuba gear. This was a great place for kids with lots more than tons of fish to see.
