Here I've collected views of my walk to work. We start here with an staircase reminiscent of that one in the movie the Excorcist. :c)
This is one of many cute little terrace houses (like mine), that I see along the way.
Love the sign below this house's street number.
A garage down the street has decided to paint a huge bright and friendly mural on all of its sides. What a community-oriented idea!
Love some of the vine leaves that crawl along the fence by the sidewalk.
The morning sunshine highlights them beautifully.
Very picturesque is this Anzac Bridge, though it's known here by locals as "Madonna's Bra", an appropriate name.
Next to the wondrous views of the coastline, are monolithical industrial manufacturing facilities. This company makes cement and building materials.
Across the street from the Hanson building, lies a lovely park full of fig trees (no, alas you can't eat these figs)...
...with a beautiful archway bridge in the background.
Hard to get more picturesque than this.
And yet, again, just on the other side of the road, a few meters down, a hollowed out building is ready to be smashed down.
Someone pointed out to me that they think this the skeleton of an old truck or boat. It certainly doesn't look like any of the shipwrecks I have seen.
Having a try at some artsy shots of all these rusty bits.
These birds, though exotic looking to me, are fairly common along the coastline areas of Sydney. Don't worry, we still have sea gulls here alas.
This is the marina located next to the fish market (blue building), where you can buy fresh fish from 7am-5pm daily.
What a strange message to display... I am surprised that the Sydney municipal governement allowed this. Nevertheless, it makes a fun picture with it's very appropriate background.
Standard Aussie pub, Toohey's New beer is the Labbatt Blue of Sydney... I pass a few of them on my way to work. The facade on this one reminds of a castle a little. Very british !
