Of course, I had to purchase a series of Day of the Dead items, like these thin tissue paper decorations. This one displays a set of skulls...
...here we have two pumpkins...
...and this one, a side-profile picture of a skeleton drinking tequila.
Here is a Day of the dead shirt with funny smiling skeletons on it!
This shop in Quintana Roo, Playa de Carmen, made beautiful gourd lights. Designs are created by carving holes and lines in the gourds and adding colourful stones and lights.
This is the gourd light we brought home. We had to think twice about getting it as it certainly cost us a pretty penny!
Here is another Day of the Dead art piece -- a skeleton nun !
Here is a skeleton mariachi player.
And my piece de resistance, a glamourous skeleton woman... it's funny how they are always holding a cigarette.
And having enjoyed so many dishes of refried beans in Mexico, I couldn't help getting these cheesy "I love beans!" stickers.
