On the Hawaiian Island of Oahu, lies a fantastic cultural and educational centre called "The Polynesian Centre". In this centre (which costs an arm and a leg for admission -- $50 without the Luau, $80 with it), you senses are seduced through performances, interactive activities and information panels on the various polynesian islands (including Tonga, Tahiti, New Zealand, Hawaii, Marquesas, Fiji).
In this workshop, I learnt how to make a fish toy out of a piece of bamboo leaf.
This fun maori game had kids clapping sticks together and then passing them to their friends without losing rhythm.

As part of the Maori warrior culture, they always seem to stick out their tongue to ward off their enemies.
I think this is a birdhouse or a prayer house, but I'm not 100% sure.

There is even a river / moat in the middle of the large centre whereby tourists can take a short cruise.
