A great view (from my window seat upon my flight's arrival) of the gorgeous pyramid-shaped Mount Mayon from Legazpi Airport, in Legazpi, Sorsogon.
The town of Donsol, a view from my hotel Giddy's Place. Great spot, right in the middle of all the action.
Donsol, Sorsogon.
Nearly all the churches in the Philippines looked like this. Donsol, Sorsogon.

Strange cemeteries in the Philippines, where tombs are piled on top of each other in seemingly random arrangements. Donsol, Sorsogon.

A face only a mother could love !
Loved this... a little hut for the rooster.
Strange looking cows here with interesting thin skin on the front of their bodies. Also notice, they've put the rope through their nose.
Strange vine shapes appear in this little area just outside of Donsol. This one looked to me like the Lochness Monster !
Light bamboo boats used for diving and whale watching tours.
Curious and friendly school boys, happy to pose for a camera. Most of the Filipinos I met (including the ones with full time jobs) could never afford a camera, even a basic one - it's amazing to see such a difference in the value of money versus Australia.
Downtown street corner in Iloilo, medium sized regional city. Small stalls selling shoes.
I loved this view as soon as I saw it. Note the store names are always associated with people's names rather than what they are selling.
A random street scene in Iloilo.
Also the supper sized van is a public transport vehicle called a Jeepney. You just jump on from the back and get in. Each one has a specific ultimate destination and can make a stop anywhere along the way.
Funky cafes and bars are popping up like this one, Fuel.ph, in the Smallville area of Iloilo. Great for nightlife, meals, drinks and/or desert.
Iloilo ferry dock to go to Guimaras to try the Philippines' (and some say the world's) most delicious mangoes. I can certainly agree with this statement from my experience!!
Colourful Iloilo Food Markets!

These guys are making Lumpia, a Philippino kind of wonton wrapper to make springrolls or Philippino-style veggie wraps.
They even sell cigarettes as singles in the Philippines.
