Chess appears to be incredibly popular in the Philippines. I often saw people playing it in the streets and parks.
Interesting architecture as part of the Mall of Asia complex in the center of Manila.

Rizal Monument in Intramuros, Manila. A life-like statue of Rizal himself behind bars and the steps he took to his execution. Many saw him as one of the first leaders in the Philippines' revolution towards independence.

This seemed like a Hollywood moment (aka : 'No, don't go in the Mortuary!'). Just had to take the photo!
Not the mortuary, but the inside of the church next to it.
Interesting use of fluorescents.
Chinese Filipino Cemetery in Manila - These are not houses or apartments. They are tombs. Yep, pretty fancy ones at that. Each 'house' is a family's tomb.
There are hectares of these extravagant tombs in this cemetery. Many with different styles.
This one is air conditioned and has a second story for the visiting family to play majhong. Also has a toilet and, sometimes, a kitchen too. Most of them also have a caretaker to take care of plants.
The inside of a tomb's 'house'.
Lots of street dogs around in the Philippines. These two belonged to the caretakers in the back of the photo.
